Embroidery

Over the years, Lousãtextil has been renovating and adding machinery to the existing production line, in order to remain at the forefront of the embroidery industry.
The technology is constantly updated (each machine is replaced every four years), which not only allows traditional embroidery to be maintained, but also opens up new possibilities for embroidery in new ways and for different applications.

Types of embroidery

Embroidery is a relief work, mainly done on fabric. The relief can be of various colors and be composed of various materials (thread, wool, gold, silver, etc.). Embroidery was originally applied to carpets, but nowadays it is applied to almost all types of materials, such as fabrics, knitwear, organza, plastic or even paper.

Lousãtextil offers the best embroidery available on the market. Quality is guaranteed through the use of top quality raw materials and the execution of programs with precision.

In addition to the variety of thousands of types and colors of threads, the customer has a variety of different stitches to choose from – artisanal, manual, chenille, spiral, cord, wool, boring, ajour, cross, among others.

As a complement to embroidery, there is also the possibility of applying materials such as pearls, stones, diamonds, studs or transfers, for example.

With over 2 thousand embroidered emblems and continually updated, Lousãtextil is proud to have one of the largest national emblem catalogues.

Embroidery process

Lines

Embossed embroidery is a simple process that produces incredible results!

High Relief or 3D Puff is a technique that allows us to extrude (give volume) to the surface of an embroidered design, essentially transforming it into a three-dimensional embroidery. The three-dimensional foam used for this effect allows us to take a creative leap, completely transforming the embroidery design.

CHAIN AND CORNELLY STITCH

Antoine Bonnaz (1865) was the inventor of the Cornely embroidery machine and chain stitch. The machines were manufactured by the French company Cornely, allowing chain stitch embroidery to become the industry standard during the Victorian era, and was also a very popular type of embroidery in the 1970s.

Currently, this type of embroidery is produced on very specific machines, enabling very beautiful and valuable creations.

Wool Line

This is a special wool thread that is very suitable for embroidery.
chenille and loop pile (loop pile), or chain stitch.
This line stands out for its characteristic “handmade” appearance. For fashion, knitwear, traditional costumes and costumes, embroidery completes the “wool on wool” effect.

Sequins

The brightness and glamour of fabrics embroidered with sequins, which had a strong presence in the 80s, are making a strong comeback.

A sequin is a round embroidery accessory used to compose and embellish a fabric or a detail on clothes, shoes and accessories.

Known in different colors, sizes and shapes, sequins are an item that is still widely used in costumes. Today, they have reached Haute Couture, Fast Fashion and the Streetwear. Represented in all shop windows, magazines and fashion channels, sequins are considered an essential item.

Lousãtextil produces embroidery in sequins of different sizes and colors, enabling creations of great value in contemporary fashion.

BRIDGE Laser

The manual cutting method was replaced by laser technology, initially by plotter laser cutting and later by bridge lasers. This type of laser guarantees greater precision compared to manual cutting. It also allows the imitation of an irregular cut as if it were made by hand, with the advantage of welding the fabrics and synthetic fiber threads, thus preventing them from fraying later.

The combination of the bridge laser with the embroidery machine also avoids double work: it will no longer be necessary to cut embroidered applications by hand. This process also guarantees more precise and consistent results, because the laser works on the same line as the embroidery machine, thus avoiding problems with positioning the pieces. This technology uses a software which controls the movement of the laser head along the entire length of the bridge, as well as the laser mirrors. This method allows for a higher degree of precision and speed compared to traditional systems. Quality is guaranteed by the training and professionalism of our employees.
