About Lousãtextil
Just like the slogan da Lousãtextil indicates “Quality, Punctuality, Innovation and Price”, are the basic pillars of the company’s philosophy. Lousãtextil has been the only embroidery company in the municipality of Lousã since 1988, and has the ambition to become increasingly competitive in the domestic and foreign markets.
History
In 1988, Lousãtextil pioneered embroidery on socks and tights in Portugal and quickly expanded its product range to include embroidery with thick wool threads imitating hand embroidery, ribbon application, cord, chenille stitch, chain stitch, spiral stitch, among other special stitches that are still in demand today.
To complement the embroidery, it introduced more than 50 different varieties of accessories, such as sequins, studs, rhinestones, pearls, half pearls, engraving and laser cutting…
It is a concern of management to update its processes, equipment, human resources, training, facilities, vehicles, etc. Even foreign technicians who maintain machines of German and Japanese origin consider Lousãtextil to be the “General of embroidery in Portugal”.
To promote its products and ensure close customer support, it toured Europe and opened permanent embroidery showrooms in Faro, Minde, Covilhã and Lousã, and currently maintains those in Minde and Lousã.
Currently, it also produces high-end, personalized professional uniforms, following fashion trends even in the workplace.
The company's ambition is to become increasingly professional and competitive in the domestic and foreign markets. With this goal in mind, at the end of 2015 it began the ISO 9001 Quality Certification process.
At Lousãtextil, we are aware of the difficulties that the textile market is going through, however, production is evolving positively, due to the capacity for creation, innovation, improvement of production techniques and monitoring of fashion trends, always with a view to satisfying our customers.
